If you use this for airsoft what happens if a bb hits the buttons on the side will it break the buttons?

A:No I doubt it will cause any damage. The buttons are rubberized and these sights are military grade so they should be able to withstand a lot of abuse. Love these sights. Hope this helps

You may have to work at stretching the scope coat some to make it fit. Once you get it on, it is well worth the effort. These are a must for protecting your Holographic sight. They come in many sizes so shop around. RH

This cover fit my EOTEC 512 perfectly and keeps the dust off the lens when the rifle is stored. It provides good protection during transport and I wouldn't replace it with anything else I've seen on the market today. Highly recommend it.

This dust cover is made of neoprene-backed nylon, i.e. thin wet suit material. So it will mold itself to the scope over several hours of use.

It does not appear to be intended for use in the rain as it tends to wick dampness toward the scope. It benefits from silicone protection with a product like 3M Scotchgard Outdoor Water Shield, 10.5-Ounce. The EOTech scope itself is water resistant so getting it damp isn't a disaster, but any serious amount of water leaves spots on the optics.

Price is excessive. This product should rightly be no more than $9.99, even if made in the US.

I have the xps2-0 an aimpoint and now the xps3-0 and they're all great red dots however this one is a little bigger than the xps2-0. The only real recommendation I can make is if you don't need the night vision compatability (which i did on my AR10 and is why I bought this one) and you're set on an eotech, don't waste the extra $100 on the xps3 and just get the xps2 the only difference between the two is the price, the button placement, and the fact that the xps3 is night vision compatible where the xps2 is not

This is the EXPS3-0 model, as the title and description on this page don't exactly make that clear (as of 08/2011).

The big plus for the XPS series is the size, using only one CR123 battery. The downside is the lower runtime, although most modern black rifle pistol-grips and buttstocks have space specifically designed to hold extra batteries.

The other main strength of this model is the quick detach mount and it really is a breeze to take the sight on and off. According to the spec sheets, the quick detach mount is no worse than the normal mount for return-to-zero performance. However, the shorter single battery models show 2 MOA return-to-zero rather than 1 MOA of the longer 2 battery models.

The quick detach mount also means this model sits a bit higher than the regular screw-on mount. I personally wanted this, as I didn't want the fixed A2 front sight on my AR co-witnessed with the holographic image. The backup iron sights are still viewable in the lower 1/3rd of the lens, and if an unobstructed view is necessary the QD mount makes that easy.
